Ah, thanks guys, I think that's pretty much answered all of what I wanted to know, it's a shame there's only three partisans I like in the game compared to all of the swords... (Soul Easter, Soul Banish and S-Rank Scythe... (Yes I know they all look the same))
i think you should go with the partisan because im pretty sure they are just a tad faster i might be wrong
I would have to agree with Kef... though Partisans might be slightly faster and have more ATA... just having a Sword with hit% would make it superior to Partisans. But I just prefer Partisans due to personal opinion... Statistically I would say Swords.
Well i see kefs point about the ATA but what about when im in the forest on ult and i cant get my full combo in with a sword, but i can with a partisan.
i know the sword deals more damage but it can be very anoying when i either have to do a weak, weak, weak combo, or, face being hit in the middle of it.
True, but if the Sword has high HIT%, and your ATA is 1/2 decent, then a Standard-Heavy-Heavy combo should be able to be performed often.
Also, if you're a HUcaseal/HUnewearl, Swords are especially usefull because the final strike with a Sword on a female hunter... does not take an extra step foward, leaving you time to retreat from and unfinished victim...
But again, I use Partisans more often myself >_>
