I found them both on this page, which is Sonic Team's Official Japanese site. I thought the first was the old box art, and the new one below (which is rumoured to contain the game and modem in a box) had replaced it. Now I'm thinking there will be two different front covers (and Sega will sell Nintendo's modem in their game). So, can anyone translate the Japanese and sort this out?

the 2nd boxart is a package thing you have to buy a Gc or something.
The second image is that of the PSO EP I & II Game/Modem bundle as sold by Sega's D-Direct store. The first image represents the cover of the standalone game.
Both images can be found on a number of well known Japanese online games stores (only one of which seems to export)along with the rear boxart - already posted on numerous other sites along with these pictures - and in all cases, their descriptions allude to this being the case. One might safely assume then, that this is correct, but it's hardly of any importance anyhow.

Yes indeed, much funkier. As far as I know, nothing has been released yet by way of US boxart. Is it me, or are the days just crawling by?
I just checked over at Amazon.co.jp and the Nintendo BBA is the best selling videgame related item with PSO at #7. Hopefully the game will be as popular (if not more) as the original was in Japan.
