Here is the method:
-Become a Class/Section ID Master in MA1V2 and MA2V2
-Collect all the Class/Section ID hearts
-Talk to the composer rappy

If you do that, you'll receive the Black Ring and some Photon Spheres.

Nope, that's how we got the blue ring on xbox. Maybe it's time to update that. As far as I know, there isn't a black ring on xbox.

There were rumors that it might be the prize for voice operations, but this quest is impossible to get a perfect score on, due to 3 seconds of voice lag.

Actually I heard from some people while on Xbox Live EU that the Purple Ring was the prize for SS Ranking on V.Hard mode while if you got an SS Rank on Ultimate you gained the Black Ring. Never done it myself since I wasn't strong enought to fight De Ra Lie on online Ult.

I'm sorry, by that last post, I didn't mean that I forgot you couldn't die. I meant we didn't die. So the end stats were (19 enemies, 22 minutes, 0 deaths, Very Hard), which gave us an A. What did I do wrong?

I think the minimum is 18 enemies. One of the slimes probably killed each other, so, I'd stay out of the room with 4 slimes until the door opens.

Kill the Evil Shark(green one) which appears in the previous (round) room after one minute.

Don't touch the Pan Arms.

This may be the prize on the EU server of xbox, but not in the states. I've finished with SS many times on Ult, and never, ever got anything more then Purple Ring or Stars.

Doh! I was using the guide, but I kept killing the Pan Arms because it was labeled on the map. Thanks everyone!
