I just started this game the other day. Wow it's fun! My question is: I'm now playing hard difficultiy (online). Everytime I start a new team I begin with the forest. Am I to assume that everytime I start I will only have the option to begin in the forest? Or is there something that needs to be done to maintain the option to, say, start in the caves or the mines without beating the bosses again? I know, I know stupid newbie but I gave you a fair warning.
I'm a recovering (or perhaps recovered) Diablo 2 addict. This question goes out to the old Diablo and Diablo2 gamers out there: Does it seem to you the PSO community is WAY cooler. Meaning they are much better team players and just more friendly in general. I've died on several occasions, dropping my groovey KALADGLOG on the ground. No one has swiped it yet. Can you imagine if this was D2, it would have been history long ago! I admit however that I do play with the same people. The same people I met the first time I played the game! The guild cards and simple mail are awsome!!!
Anyway I love this game, and will be utterly hooked on it for a long, long time.

I'm not too sure... As I have not had much time to play online... But I think you must beat an ending guy offline in order to start out differently online.
    Example:
(My character Raven beat the worm boss offline so now online he can start out in the mines.)

I think i'm right. Confirmation anyone?

Yes, that was my experiance playing offline, however that is not how its working online. I've killed the dragon and worm many times but still begin with only the forest as an option. Thanks for the reply though.

You have to beat it in single player mode first, to be able to access it on-line. Say you fight that dragon on-line and kill him. Now the caves are open. If you leave and start a game, you still wont be able to get the the caves without fighting the dragon. You have to beat the bosses in single player mode for you to be able to go to those spots on-line. Hope that answers your question. =)

Also don't forget to talk to the principal (makes the entire migration to Ragol sound like a big class field trip if you think about it) after you beat a boss. I almost had a heart attack after beating the worm and not getting to go to mines. But I forgot to talk to the principal, and after I did, caves were open. Apparently I talked to him after beating dragon, but didn't remember to do it this time

Ha! So I was right! Just a little short of the problem... You just need to talk to the Principal after beating a boss and then you should be able to start diffrent places online and offline.

Oh brother I did spell question wrong! DOH! Thanks for the complements on the fan fic. I'm working on chapter two right now. It's getting really long. By the time I'm done with this I'll have a novel. I'm writing it on word so I'll have the benifits of spell check. In English class my spelling was the topic of much conversation. It's notoriously (spelling?) bad. I would always say its cause I'm left handed, so it's like a right brain/left brain kinda deal. My very first post was on a thread that was on the lines of "all active members check in." Just a real short "hi I'm new here" type thing.
