Since it is old enough news that you would have trouble hearing about or finding it today on the message boards,I'll answer it kindly.Yes!They will be connected.

Now,next time you need to look at the FAQ in the stickies or in the PSU section at the homepage.

I don't know, didn't we just hear all systems are separate or something? somewhere they reported that in an interview, or actually somewhere else but I think it was ..well. who knows whats going on.

we'll have to wait for the full details.

Nope, Saner, PS2 and PC have been confirmed to be linked, we know this for shure. Its the Xbox 360 that is being disputed.

Okay, this is to make if official, so that this question will stop being asked in every single thread on this forum (not to mention that multiple threads dedicated to the question):

YES, THE PS2 AND PC SERVERS ARE LINKED, THEREFORE CHARACTERS CREATED ON ONE PLATFORM WILL STILL BE THERE IF YOU GO TO THE OTHER, SINCE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO USE THE SAME ACCOUNT. HOWEVER, THE 360 VERSION ISN'T GOING TO BE RELEASED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE PS2 AND PC VERSIONS, AND THE ONLY OFFICIAL WORD WE HAVE IS THAT THE 360 SERVERS WILL BE SEPERATE, MEANING YOU COULDN'T USE AN ACCOUNT FOR THE PS2 OR PC VERSION, MEANING YOUR CHARACTERS WOULD NOT TRANSFER OVER.

(However, it has been said that the decision to seperate the 360 servers was not finalized. Some have taken this to mean that they will end up linked, but there's been no official word of them changing their minds. So from what we know, they will be seperate, and if there's an announcement that changes that, it'll likely be announced on the front-page of this site, so you don't have to worry about missing it.)
