    So yeah. I was finally starting to agree that maybe RA didn't have it so bad, that maybe the status effects really would make up for the low damage output and high cost of emptying out gun after gun.

    Then Sega caught on or something and decided to ruin that aspect of RA this week with a patch.

    I'm down to proc'ing roughly 1 status effect in 12 shots or more even with Dual Handguns, which means even with my crappy RA damage most enemies will die before being afflicted by anything. Large enemies like the lizard-centaurs in Shikon / Mizuraki can't be set on Fire now, period, basically ruining Fire as a useful status effect, assuming you can proc it on anything in time for it to do damage now.

    RA have been stripped of any redeeming qualities at this point, save being able to use Rifles on bosses, which is hardly necessary to a group as FO and HU can do as much damage or more, they're just at slightly higher risk from having to stand closer.

    Hopefully they'll come up with something to give the RA's some kind of boost. RA's have been taking the shaft lately.

    I'm sure if RAs are really that bad they can just as easily patch it again to even them out... It all depends on how many people complain about balance (Assuming they are listening to their beloved players-But it is ST, afterall).

    Untrue. I've been playing in Shikon since I got my PM to GH-420, and a fair number of those enemies have burned just fine.
    I still see a fair bit of burnage as a Force. The main difference now is that not everything is going to be on fire all of the time.

    Vandal won't be satisfied until he can do the most damage from across the room in complete safety. It's best to ignore his hissy fits over ranger. Christ knows I'm sick of hearing it on #rpgfan.

    Word has it, he's going to try force out! It should be amusing.
