PC PSU Question about screen brightness.

I'm considering buying PC PSU but I noticed I have a problem with my monitor brightness. I've adjusted Brightness and Contrast to maximum on my monitor and everything is still so dark some things become impossible to see.

If I increase my settings through my video card directly which seems to work in a way.... will it work for PC PSU atleast in windowed mode? I tried it with FFXI and it completely resets what I altered in my card settings returning my screen to darkness until I go back to the video card menus. (and yes I know I should get a new monitor but I can't yet.)

Yes I can use TV out, would need to move my PC though.

taht might be best option till u can buy new monitor hope this helps

I know I could end up doing that, but that would be a little inconvinient since I use my PC for other things too normally.
