What happens if you just turn off the 360??...oops

I don't think it will be as bad as the Dreamcast days...
If you as much as sneezed and/or accidentally bumped the power off you lost everything.
There are countless stories of the dreadful BSOD.

I don't think so, because a lot of times during the evening my cable gets really bad and my cable just cuts out and whenever i get on it seems like it saved RIGHT before.. So I'm guessing that you'll be fine, even though thats not the same.

since your technically moving on the server, no, no roll back. the server just thinks you disconnect, ssends a signal to you to disconnect you.
