As you can see this is my first post here, but I have been lurking in the shadows envying this site for at least a year.

I am having trouble understanding the rewards regarding offline C-Mode completion at S-Rank for both Episode 1 and 2.

Basically I'm trying to understand if I should even attempt getting S-Rank offline, because I don't want to go through all this trouble for nothing.

Heres some quick questions:
1) What are the rewards for S-Rank completion for offline C-Mode on Episode 1 + 2?
2) Would it be plausible to complete S-Rank with only 2 players?
(I'm most skilled with Android Rangers, while my friend is best with Human Hunters)
3) If the above question is possible, what character classes should we attempt this feat with?
4) If I manage to get S-Rank offline, will it also count towards my online C-Mode completion? (AKA: Will I be able to obtain a custom S-Rank weapon.. such as a SPIFFY SWORD if I went online one day?)

Also, I planned on using a walk-through for my runs.
Any guides regarding any information to this topic would be appreciated. (Yeah, I already looked.)

Answers!

For S-Rank time in both Episode 1 and 2, you will receive your choice of one of these weapons. For Ep2 A/B-Ranks, you get either a Blue or Green Ring, I believe.

The prizes for Episode 1 & 2 are the same for S-Rank. The B and A Rank prizes differ though.

2. It is possible, but very difficult if you've never played challenge mode before. You will have to practice quite a bit.

3. The answers to this question will vary. Look at this topic for some input:

4. It doesn't work like that. You will have to start over at stage 1 if you go online.

So I get different prizes for doing it offline than if I did it online?

Also, I'm wondering if it's possible to get more than 1 S-Rank item per character..

That is correct. Most of the offline prizes are "gag" weapons.

You can earn one S-Rank per episode offline per character. That means you can win one S-Rank in Episode 1 and another in Episode 2 with the same character.

Good luck. Try to focus on clearing each stage first and then go back to try for a S-Rank time.

Any tips?
So far I've tried only using a weak-strong-nothing attack, running, and then repeating. It seems to help better than actually doing the entire combo when trying to dodge enemy attacks.

When playing through Challenge Mode for the first time, just focus on staying alive and getting to know the puzzles. Also, it would help if you told us which characters your friend and you were going to use.
