And theres also some PSU goodies as well, like Give Finder, Random, In Order and see who gets what rares and a Casino. If you wish to experious true PvP and what PvP is gonna be like in PSU, play this. And racing is PvP as well.

the reason it is illegal is PSO is sega's property, and unless they give permission to do such things, its considered stealing though whether or not sega gives a damn about it...seems not. That aside...inferior? how? never saw much serious for bugs, and saw gms...actually do things, and actually boot damaging hackers...and actually keep up with events...hell even a translated version of the JP patch that never came.

Yes, PSO is still sega's property, they made their game servers free, but didn't relinquish ownership or anything like that. Again, they seem not to care about pso anymore and haven't done or said anything all this time, I doubt they will ever.

It's illegal because it's a reverse-engineered version of licensed software.

And of course Sega's not going to allow it. 'Hey, I'm just gonna modify your Math assignment a bit and turn it in as my own. Is that okay?'

Not only that, but the presence of that server GUARUNTEES that Sega will want nothing to do with PSO anymore. PSO is no longer a good, viable business decision because it was niche to begin with and now already available for free. Sega will get maybe a few sympathy buys of the product and the whole venture will end in a loss.

They're a business, they can't waste their money on crap like that.

But yeah, they're the bad guy in this. They're the ones that don't give a damn about consumer needs, right? Why don't they just release the source to the people that landed the final blow on their game?
