Default Frozen Image - 07-02-2012, 08:22 PM

I'm surprised it showed up on a screenshot but here's my problem: It doesn't happen often but what happens is one frame of the entire game is frozen (kind of like a burned image on a tv screen) yet the game still moves and functions perfectly fine behind it. Here's the image:

Spoiler!

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what do you suggest to fixing it besides closing/reopening the game? Or maybe its not the game's problem but the card?

FYI, I have an HIS Radeon 6970 and usually when this happens, the card's activity is 50%+.

Reduce the graphics, no doubt it's the card. Also your processor might have a little bit to do with this, but not likely.

Try going back to a previous version of the driver, heard that the lastest one had issues lately on some games, also turn off forced futures if you have any on.

Oh man. I was going to upgrade my graphics card anyway but its pretty messed up if it is the card, but I'll try using a previous driver before completely replacing the graphics card.

In the meantime, I'll try reducing the oh so wonderful and beautiful graphics of this game and see if it still occurs. -__- Thanks for the responses, guys.

I've seen this with other games that have frame skipping, but i'm not sure if this is your case+^_^+ try dropping your shaders and limit the amount of frames PSO2 renders to 60 in the launcher menu where you set resolution(or whatever your monitor refreshes at) and see if that fixes it+^_^+
EDIT: didn't see the little fps monitor you have in upper right, my suggestion's probably moot+^_^+
