Get a haircut. Somehow that makes me feel better, although I'm not sure why.

Smoke.

It's a terrible habit, but it keeps my nerves in check as of late.

I lost everything last year; wife, house, job, money, car. Picking up the pieces.

Whatever works, works. Things get better though.

Coping is difficult, but as long as you understand your dependencies are a weakness and don't start trying to justify them things will look up.

Most depression/sadness just has to be waited out, let it run its course. During that time its best to occupy yourself with things that make you feel good and keep you entertained, which in turn will help take your mind off other things. If you have somebody you can open up to, talking about it usually helps too.

Yep, letting depression run its course is also definitely something that happens. Keeping yourself occupied to keep yourself sane is always a good thing, but I think that you can't let that get to the point of complete avoidance.

Feelings have to be felt, yo.

I buy a bottle of wine and drink it. All of it. Don't waste a drop of alcohol!

I also eat a lot of yummy food, isolate myself, and play games/watch stuff.

None of which really helps. Really.
