Steam. It automatically launches with games and doesn't shut down when I exit them. Then it sits there chewing up almost 200MB of RAM doing absolutely fucking nothing.

200? It's only holding about 130 MB for me... which, frankly, isn't a whole lot. Chrome's using more than that.

The airbag light on my car turned on.

I'm going to check on it after 10 PM, because it was also 110 degrees in my car and it may have made my car system screwy.

Yeah I've got 6 group chats open that have been open for days, the main window up and a game downloading and i'm at 146MB being used. I'd say the problem is more your computer than steam, especially if 200MB of RAM missing is causing a problem.

And that's kind of its purpose - to be a full fledged service both inside of games and out.

I have 8GB of RAM, so 200MB isn't causing an issue, but the software engineer in me (that's actually what I do) finds it sloppy. Aside from my gripes with DRM in general, requiring a 3rd party application that provides no essential functions drives me crazy. If Steam were an additional application that layered community features and messaging, I wouldn't have a problem.

My guess is that the high memory usage was WebKit not releasing memory for whatever reason. After all, the Steam client is basically just a crippled web browser.Chrome threads get a little out of control sometimes too.

Had been looking for my checkbook all morning, worried I'd lost it somewhere. Was driving me insane, because I didn't go anywhere yesterday!

Just now, I went to grab some chicken out of the freezer to thaw and found my checkbook...in the freezer...how the shit?

Looks like you've got...

...a frozen account.

I've found my truck keys in kitchen cabinets before. I do very strange things at 5-6am.

Yep...I've done this too. Found my keys in the sock drawer once too.

My passenger side airbag turns off when nobody is sitting in the seat, and turns on a light letting you know it's disabled.

Unfortunately, if my girlfriend doesn't sit in just the right spot on the seat, it doesn't think anybody is sitting there. It's... worrisome. I should probably get this fixed.
