Well, actually. Mortal Kombat 1 was actually a pretty popular movie. It was, overall, liked. It was the 2nd Mortal Kombat movie that got the panning.

Another Zelda related movie idea I've had for a little while now would be Majora's Mask as a live action movie except not a Zelda movie, just a standalone movie with the same story and setting so the main character can get some lines and Princess Zelda's flashback doesn't seem shoehorned. that game had so many emotional scenes that are a perfect fit for the big screen. So I guess it would be The Legend of Majora's Mask

Speaking of Ghibli and games...

Not sure if all or just one of the key animators played a role in making Jade Cocoon 1 and 2 for PS1
