Just keep on fighting him, you'll get loads better the more you fight him. I know I sure have constantly fighting Snow and Fang Banther. I used to die at least 3 or 4 times, now I only die once at most. Everything can be conquered through hard work. Though I say that, it's pretty much just Just Guarding any time they make a move. Still have to figure out when to Just Guard the roar though, it comes out so slow...

To just guard the roar. Left foot down, right foot down, count 2 secs JUST GUARD. You can either use just guard or dash to avoid the roar. Also check out some of my hunter videos below. I'm not the best hunter but I do well.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out next time.

Yeah. I've learned that you can dash right through(or under?) their signature running slash attack. The one move that used to get me everytime. The roar I move away when I see it coming. Gonna try out Crimson's suggestion on my next fight with it. Fought it 4 times yesterday trying to clear S rank for a team mate..

Also, while this is likely already known, and while I still wont personally go for a tank build, those with it, shall be happy to know, you can guard attacks that aren't intended for you. Aka, taking hits/guarding for other players. This was a very useful thing to me in PSU - well, couldn't guard in that game, but you can take hits from attacks aimed at others.

Yeah, I've heard that just guarding blocks damage for that attack to everybody else, so let's say the quartz dragon is zipping back and forth and you just guard him in front of your teammates - supposedly he'll pass through everyone without dealing damage.

I haven't confirmed it myself, though.

I knew you could block non AoE attacks for teammates in that way. I wonder if me JGing his Laser Rain attacks would work for everyone else too though. I kind of want to test this out, but I don't know of many people who will willingly get themselves killed/nearly killed just so I can try something.

Well, everything is "AOE" as far as I can tell. No attack hits one single player or enemy - they all hit anything they connect with. Stand enough players close together and they'll all get hit by every kind of attack. The only difference is how big the hitbox is. A projectile such as a Za Udan's rock or a Yedi's snowball might stop when it hits a player, but two players standing very closely will both be hit.

Which is what makes the just guard damage removal an interesting mechanic.

I suppose I should have been more specific. Meaning wide area attacks like Vols Nuke, Quartz Rain, Boss Jump attacks/shockwaves etc etc, basically the "party wipe" type attacks.

Since I'm a Hunewearl I think these two builds are better advised are they good or bad?

Do you want to be able to use Best in Slot Gear? How is your mag built? Why do you have Just Counter? Why do you have S-DEF Up 1 maxed in your first build? Why do you have Guard Stance and S-ATK UP 1 at +5 in your second build? How do you intend to play Hunter, more offensively or more defensively? Are you comfortable with using Stances?

Currently you haven't really told us enough to be able to really judge whether or not your skill trees are good or not.
