Default Can someone share an Apus mag build? - 08-20-2012, 10:00 PM

Hey guys. I'd like to raise an Apus mag. How should I level my mag?

Make sure you raise it towards ability first until the first evolution at level 30, so it should be Antila at level 30.

From there raise tech on the mag. So at level 100 it should be Technique > Everything else. Oh, and just remember that Technique is made up of both T-Atk and T-Def.

I don't get it. When I raise ability to 30 to make it an antila, then level tech to 100 it turns into that.

Mag Type [Monokerosu(Technique Type/Technique Group)]
Mag Lv.150(Max Level is Lv.150)
S-ATK Lv. +
R-ATK Lv. +
T-ATK Lv. + 120
ABL Lv. + 30
S-DEF Lv. +
R-DEF Lv. +
T-DEF Lv. +

Ah, my mistake. Since I've been raising a specific type of mag myself, I forgot that the evolution can change part way through.
Take ability to 50 first. You need that in order to stop the mag changing to the tech type part way through. Once you do that, start raising tech (or if you are using force weapons to do this, take ability to around 25 first, you should get the remaining ability from weapons, but if you get in danger of tech going higher than ability, then just give a few more sol atomisers).

Because of the requirements of the mag though, you could put points in the other areas too, like some in ranged and some in striking. Since all you need is for ability to be the highest below level 100, and above level 100, technique has to be the highest.

Okay so 50 ability then all tech. This is a good build overall for an Apus?

If you want it to evolve right away at Lv100 (as opposed to 105, which is the most likely scenario if you hit your cap of 50 Ability right off the bat), you could actually stop at 49 Ability, get to 51 Tech (triggering the evolution), and then finish off the last point of Ability so you're at a flat 50. Then from there, you can give it all the Tech you want (making sure to shave off the extra Ability with Trimates now and again).

It's just a theory, mind you (haven't tested it myself and don't have the money to test it), but based on what I know, I see no reason why it shouldn't work. I even ran it through one of the mag simulators and it checks out, so...

As for the build, I can't really comment on it myself, but if your aim is to play Force and only Force, a good balance of T-ATK and T-DEF should be fine. If you want to use other classes, though, you may want to consider throwing a few points into other areas (though it would only be possible after Lv100, and you might be better off just buying more mags for use with other classes anyway).

The standard route is:
LV.30: T-ATK: 14 / Ability: 16 [Antlia]
LV.95: T-ATK: 47 / Ability: 48 [Antlia]
LV.100: T-ATK: 51 / Ability: 49 [Apus]

If you want PP Recovery J (the mag ability that occasionally gives you pp regen like the monoceros PB) then this is the route:
LV.30: T-ATK 16 / Ability 14 [Lepus]
LV.35: T-ATK 17 / Ability 18 [Antlia]
LV.95: T-ATK 47 / Ability 48 [Antlia]
LV.100: T-ATK 51 / Ability 49 [Apus]

You don't have to use T-ATK alone though, you can mix tatk + tdef as long as their combined value matches that of the T-ATK i've given above.

It's also possible to get an Apus with ability as low as 30 if you want, but it requires a lot of planning.

I've found the best way to get a Apus is to just feed your mag force weapons until the mag's tech is about 30 or so.

Then start feeding it Disks until ability is about 40.

After that go back to feeding the mag force weapons keeping a close eye on the ability lvl as well. The mag should have 48 ability at lvl 95. Its easiest to get the Apus at 105, but if your careful you can get it right at mag lvl 100, but it can be a bit annoying.

To get Apus at lvl 100 when the mag hits lvl 95 Tech must be at 47, and Ability must be 48.
It may be easier to just feed your mag tech weapons until Tech is lvl 47 then just feed it disks until ability is 48, then go back to feeding it force weapons, but you need to decide if you want the ability or the tech periodic effects.

While its not in English this mag simulator is pretty easy to use and figure out.

I'm assuming you're making one for a force;

1. Feed it Rear Units until T-DEF is level 47 (should have 15 DEX) - Lv. 62
2. Feed it Disks until DEX is 48 (it will evolve into Antlia) - Lv. 95
3. Feed it Force weapons until T-ATK is 11. - Lv. 108
4. Feed it FIVE six-star furniture to lower the DEX bar back down. - Lv. 109
5. Feed it Force weapons until T-ATK is 17. - Lv. 114
4. Feed it FIVE six-star furniture to lower the DEX bar back down. - Lv. 114

You get the idea... I hope. Don't forget your last 3 levels of T-DEF at the end. By then you will have obtained a nicely balanced 50 T-ATK, 50 DEX, 50 T-DEF mag in only 65 hours and using only a million meseta.

Basically you need to make sure that you reach an Ability type mag (Antila) at level 30 (minimum of 16 ability). Then, at level 30 onwards, you either ensure you mag rises 2 levels every time (ie: level 30 to 32, followed by 32 to 34 and 34 to 36, etc) or you manage your mag such that it only skips levels whenever you reach level X4 (ie: Level 34/44/54/64/74/84/94 must skip to level 36/46/56/66/76/86/96).

The key is that you must skip all level multiples of 5 until you are past level 95. This will prevent the mag from evolving into a Lepus mag
Credit goes to Crystal shard for that.
Possibly the best route if you dont want ability.
