When did you try to update? I *believe* I fixed this error yesterday. (Of course I could be wrong!)

Not really a game-breaking bug, but I found that if I tried doing:

1. PSO Tweaker -> Check for Updates -> Updates everything, all good
2. Install EN Patch, Story Patch, EN Large Files

Start up game, no problemo.

Turned off the game, went to go do some shopping, came back, started up PSO Tweaker again, decided to do Check for Updates (just to make it a habit), and found that it was downloading the exact same patch again (at least, same number of files, so I assume it's the same patch).

I also found that using the default PSO2 launcher still updated too.

Is there like an update log file that timestamps (or checksums) against the last update?

Other than that, thanks a lot for this tool, it's been so helpful (playing in Alpha in full japanese and getting everything set up was a nightmare).

HOW TO UPDATE THE STORY MODE PATCH:

1) Use the Tweaker to install the Story Mode from the base RAR file you downloaded
2) After installation, it will inform you Story Mode updates are available and offer to download them
3) Enjoy!

Just like normal, you'll have to re-install the story patch after every update.

--------------------------------------

BAM! NEW UPDATES~!

Instead of using a SVN, I decided to code the update process myself! o/

From now on, you just download the 1.6GB RAR Story Patch. Install it using the Tweaker. Next time you open it, it'll check for updates to the story patch, and offer to install them. It will ONLY download the changed files, so this reduces the patching process of story mode stuff down to minutes!

That's not all though - The Tweaker will also check for updates to the EN patch! (Large File support will be added next update!) Simply re-install the EN patch to ensure you have the latest one, and next time you open the Tweaker, it will check to see if there's an available update to the EN patch, and offer to download it if there is.

Next version will also support PSO2 updating. So, for example, SEGA pushes a new patch. The morning after, you open the Tweaker:

"PSO2 Update available - Would you like to download and install it?" Sure!
*10 minutes later*
"Done! - A EN patch update is also available, would you like to install it?" Sure!
*2 minutes later*
"Done! - A story update is also available, would you like to update it?" Hell yeah!
*5 minutes later*
"All patches set and up to date! Enjoy the game!"
*Clicks remove censor and openings and hits "apply changes". Clicks "Launch PSO2" and enjoys!

Total time ~15 minutes.

As compared to normal patching/updating/story mode updates, I find this time acceptable.

This will also allow us to push story mode updates MUCH more often - Every week, in fact! This should cut down on errors and black screens TREMENDOUSLY.

PLEASE NOTE:

If it says "Not installed" for a patch, simply re-install it. This is ON PURPOSE.

Thoughts?

Argh, terribly sorry, but I made a mistake earlier. I didn't look closely at your post, and didn't realize you updated the story patch. I was still using the one from 5/20, so it WAS a problem on my end. My apologies.

I manually patch EN patch and Story patch, so can I make something that will make the tweaker said that I already install both?
If can't, that means I will have to redownload all of them again when next big update is coming >_<

edit: well, my bad >_<
looks like the tweaker ask for my story patch RAR. I can say the tweaker is pretty much complete for me
Thanks AIDA!

I just got this as well, no idea what to do (computers are closer to magic than tech for me lol)

Edit: Never mind, I just redownloaded the tweaker and problem solved.

Hey Aida, just wanted to asked that my pso2 keeps on updating constantly.
I can see that the files are gradually decreasing each time i do it. But every time
I try to launch the exe after the update, it gives me this: "ERROR - The system cannot find the file specified [FAILED!]"

By the way, my directories are correct. Wanted to know if this is normal and I should update all the time until it stops updating?
My directories: D:\SEGA\PHANTASYSTARONLINE2\pso2_bin\data\win32

Case closed> Solved my problem, wasn't running the latest Tweaker in my directories :P
