ARGHHH!!!! I just played for an hour in the From the Depths mission when Ash decided to get run over by a Dark Bringer. Many of the missions I have had to play over several times (with my androids) cause the freaking NPCs keep dying. I piped back and forth about 30 times for star atomizer cause Ash had like 100 hp left, but no luck. Then i went to the nurse and she healed ash too. But then he got hurt some more and he wouldn't heal himself and I didn't have any star atomizers, and a Dark Bringer ran him over and killed him. Any other droids have problems with NPCs dying in quests, and how did you deal with it??

I guess the only way to really do is pay ALOT of attention to the NPC, and use star antomizers. Don't ever let him out of your sight. Stand in front of him. Protect him with your life! That's the only advice I can give.

If you're a droid, you could tank for your NPC.

Rush in, drop a freeze trap, shoot it, you and boy wonder start killin like villins.

If you're dying, try leveling up a bit.

If you're a ranger, repeated shot's with a seize special (spread needle) makes quick work of them.

In some cases, you can trick your NPC into getting stuck in a corner of a hallway, race ahead, kill everything and then go back and get your NPC.

But seriously duDe, it's not that hard on the new versions of PSO. Go back and try the old Dreamcast PSO with MOME: Gilchics, Dubchics, Sinows, Garantz, canune EVERYTHING PWNS MOME and his bb gun.

AND THEN YOU GET TO DA ROL LE!!!!!!!!!!!

Argh, Im a droid Ranger, and ASh has been such a retard each time i went thru that mission(4 to be exact). He gets confused, or paralyzed,a nd it doesnt go away till he gets healed by the nurse, but then he goes back and is confused and paralyzed again. I recomened makinghim follow you. When you move left, move a lot, and he will go to the spot and be on your tail. Try that, it works for me.

Try getting him stuck somewhere. I always do that to the dodo headed NPCs

But then they'd just appear out of nowhere when I walk to far ahead. Scary....
