Now to be fair, I can't fault someone who's trying to do damage and help out. If they're bumfuckin around with a Vrolet or whatever than maybe I can say thats p cheese.

I think "glass jaw" is more a matter of your units, affixes, playstyle and how efficiently you use Limit Break.
With something like the Saiki set, affixed to at least 1000 HP, you won't be very "glass jaw".
If you're not very good at dodging/guarding, then I guess you can make up for it with class skills.
