I don't think anyone would craft a Magicka/Thousand set, since they'd lose PP, striking resists, etc.

As for leg units, you could go for burn leg (5 PP and defense), or Elder leg (6 PP, no defense). Calvaria/Calbun leg only have 3 PP, but they also give 25/40 HP, if you care about that.

Well just due to the set bonus they're some of the best crafted units, even if some of them are good uncrafted too.

Higher S-Def and your choice of stat spread if you don't have a choice which set you found.

Do XQs to get the one you want, maybe? . Everyone can get them, it's not like there's a premium wall or anything.

I think I'd rather use the stones on the weapons, though, unless I was already 2/3 on a set just from drops.

And it's not like the unit set you want also drops from the XQ you're farming for your favorite weapon type.

It's just an option since they've got 90 for all Atk stats (no PP, though).

How many of you use ER for the chain finish on bosses? I find it can be quite good for that quick on demand burst you need.

I used it all the time. ER for me is the best Chain Finisher PA when MT is out of reach and you need the burst damage fast.

The duration of ER and Chain Finish are quite matched so every damage from an ER all will get boosted.

I actually use Shift Period on certain bosses, like the Cater family. It can be really scary, and will hit them even if they decide to flip around.

Try Messiah Time. You get similar results, but a conveniently timed invuln may protect you during one of their stun spins.

That, and it's indescribably satisfying having a full load of MT bullets in space around you exactly when a kater thrusts its head into you, colliding with every single one of them and falling over dead.

    ^ this ^

I find Shift Period a bit clunky to finish a chain with. ER or MT just seem a bit more natural to use in that situation.
*Hope, a guaranteed way to experience disappointment.

Personally when I fight caterdicks I switch to force and poison them and watch them melt.
