Since when are the xq units decent? Crafting them? I have a pair of sets sitting idly on my storage since i didn't know what to do with them.

XQ sets are +90 ATK (like Gwana and Midia)
Lv10 ext units have the highest total def stats
You can craft units with +10PP or +100HP now

Don't you lose the resists? I'm guessing the higher Def stats over rules the resists.

The HP crafts might help, but then you're missing out on the PP. So if you care about your bulk, stick with vanilla saiki or zieg units

Yeah. Luther set is doing well in ult as 70/70 BrHu cause of the resists.

Oh and now that I just saw res all is non-transferable I don't even really know what abilities to get (getting a melee set only for now).

Could someone walk me through making a 5s Quartz / pow 3 / stamina 3 / spirita 3 (or stigma if it's no difference) / power boost set?

Or, considering you must upslot with a boost item and I have bad Dudu luck, replacing it with Vinculum (no need to upslot the final affix and retries aren't nearly as expensive).
...Or modulator but I have to check if this wouldn't be absurdly expensive when I have to buy everything from the player shop.

I wish we had 11* unit passes already. I consider it a huge faux pas from Sega that we don't have them yet.

Cause I'm not gonna affix anything now with fodder at double to triple price. Would go bankrupt over a unit set >_>

Well, for the moment I got me a nice Gloam / Ing combo for 11 mil. Would have gotten White Tail but didn't find any decent for a reasonable price. And since everything is affixed for pp anyway, it would be total overkill.
This combo already has 19 pp more than my Luther set for a total of 155 with weapon. Haven't done much ult with it yet but def is similar and hp is just 10 below what I had before.

At least my 2nd has good units now, she inherited the luther set.

Gonna have to go with crafted Saiki or XQ units.

Crafted Saiki have 155PP with no affixes on them, while Crafted XQ units have 130PP with no affixes on them (and 30 more attack).

how do people go about getting 155pp without affixs on saiki set? like you do ex 10 with T-def?

ive never bothered with unit crafting. after seeing people get 195 pp with ease i became interested.
