many apologies if i'm "necroing" this thread straight from it's corpse, but i have had a similar problem to all of yours but instead of freezing the game it self, it severs my internet connection and shuts off my audio upon launch, i've already "burned the bridge" in terms of using the tweaker's troubleshooting feature and am opting for a clean install because i screwed up the patching process and thought the "directory" the tweaker was asking for had to do with where it was located and not the actual folder itself. i'll post again in a separate thread if a clean install doesn't do it either, which won't be for a while because 24.5 gigs is a lot
