Default Hit% question - 08-06-2012, 04:10 PM

If a weapon has a hit % is it reflected in your ata stat or is it separate?

For example, I have a gladius with 20% hit and a breaker with 50% hit and the breaker gives me a higher ata value when equipped.

I do believe the hit % adds to your ata. I can't remember what % equals how much ata though.

Each hit "percent" increases your ATA by one.

% on weapons are easy to understand, it goes this way :

Non-Hit % = base power value (no equip) * 1+ x/100

this will add that much power to your current power against that type of ennemies

exemple 800 power and 60% against native (no equipment on for power value)
this will give me a total power of 800 * 1.60 = 1280 power against native ennemies only

Hit % will just add that many in ATA ( so it's not a % value, it only counts as a simple adding value)

I have 160 ATA with equipments on, but my weap gives another 25% hit, so I now have 185.

NOTE : Hit may vary from a weapon to another since each weapons has it's own ATA value
so a 25% hit arms weapon gives you a lower ATA then a Gladius + 20% hit

Refer to guides on equipments to get the real value of a weapons...

Thanks, just wanted to make sure I was reading the stats right - I was.

Non-rare weapons from the shop with good hit% are far more useful than rares with no hit%.

My current weapons of choice as a lv91 HUcaseal:
Repeater 50%hit
Raygun 35% hit
Breaker 50% hit

None of the rare weapons I've found so far have any hit on them, but hardly ever missing certainly makes up for the drop in attack power using the three above.

You should actually try to do quests that tends to help you find better weapons. Such as Soul of the blacksmith for a suppressed gun, or waterfall tears to find mil lilies which usually drop something good as a rare or Forest of sorrows for the hidelts high spawn... don't know, maybe just playing plain is your best choice

And YES hit% > rarity of weapon

I got bored of rare hunting real quick. At the moment I could really do with a better shield but doing the same thing over and over just isn't fun. I'm pretty casual in my play style so I prefer to just do some quests or random runs and see what drops.
