Default Over the Shoulder Aiming Issue, Help Needed

When I switch to the over the shoulder aiming, I try to look around and the aiming goes all out of whack. I try to turn left, it may go right, or jerk and go left. Sometimes it won't move at all, and sometimes it feels like my character is on speed. Essentially, the camera has a mind of its own. This makes it impossible for me to be a ranger or use turrets.

Its not a hardware issue, as 1) my aiming in standard 3rd person is just fine and 2) this glitch occurs whether I use a mouse or my gamepad.

I thought this would be solved after maintenance but sadly that isn't the case. Any ideas?

EDIT: Forgot to put this in the technical issues section of the forums. Mods, feel free to lock/delete this thread.

My only suggestion is maybe when you're using the mouse or gamepad, the opposite is getting input as well. Such as, you're using the mouse, but the controller is still plugged in and moving for some reason. What kind of controller and mouse do you have.

    Gamepad: Razer Onza
    Mouse: Razer Naga Hex

I never thought about that. I'll try it when I finish TACOs tonight.

I've had that happen before, quite a bit. Different games. If you're only using one, I'd recommend unplugging the controller. I don't know how reliable Razer stuff is, personally, so I can't(won't) comment on that.

I actually use the gamepad all the time, the mouse more or less sits there. I'll unplug that instead.

Actually, I'm gonna test it right now.

EDIT: Tried with mouse plugged in, gamepad plugged in, and tried with another mouse i had. None of them solo solved the issue.

Didn't read thread responses in detail, but are your keybinds set properly in that view? Sometimes it's a control conflict.

Considering I only play this game with a gamepad and only use my keyboard for chat and such, there should be no control conflict as I changed no binds whatsoever. Nevertheless, I will check.

EDIT: Nope, keybinds are all where they should be.

So just as an update, I got an SSD and rearranged my file directories as the SSD is now my boot drive. Lo and behold, it reset my graphics settings for PSO2, but not the controls. Anyhow, after fixing the graphics, I tried the Over-The-Shoulder view again and somehow its working just fine now. No idea what happened, but hey, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.
