The Arashikage are an ancient, respected clan of ninjas made up of enigmatic PSO & PSU's veterans.
"Train hard, fight easy!" -Storm Shadow
Centuries ago on Ragol, the Arashikage clan was a renowned family of ninjas. The clan was famous for their techniques, including the "Arashikage Mind-Set," the "Sleeping Phoenix," the "Ear That Sees," and the "Cloak of the Chameleon."
By the time of the Great Blank, the size of the clan had dwindled, but still remained powerful on Neudaiz in system know as Gurhal. Some time after the Great Blank the head of the clan at that time was known as the Hard Master. He and his brother, the Soft Master, gave their nephew, Thomas Arashikage, an important role in the clan, calling him the Young Master. Near the completion of his training, Tommy was sent to assist in the Red Ring Rico crusade. For him, it was a rite of passage; only in war could he become a true warrior. Out of honor he gave himself the code name Storm Shadow which is a distant star language transation of his family name. While on Pioneer 2, Tommy served in Covert Operative Based Recon Agency (COBRA). There he met Justyn Darkcrest. The two soldiers became close friends.
Tommy was so impressed by Justyn's techer skills, he offered him a place in his "family business" when the war was over. For Justyn, it was not long before he returned home. Their COBRA unit was attacked by the organic computer Olga Flow, and a patrol of six became a patrol of three. Tommy, Justyn and Necroticus were the only members of the team to escape. As a exit telepipe was set up the pursuing Olga Flow unleashed a massive attack wounding Justyn. Concerned for his friend, Storm Shadow went back for Justyn. Running through Olga Flow's attacks, Storm Shadow was able to get Justyn safely inside the telepipe. Upon returning home from the war, Justyn met with The Principle, who informed him that his parents and twin brother had been killed in a star cruiser accident. After wandering for a time, Justyn decided to travel to Gurhal and join the clan as Tommy had asked him to. He was welcomed into the Arashikage household and became as skilled as any other ninja.
A few years passed and many ninjas came to train at the Arashikage Dojo on Neudaiz. Along with assisting to eradicate the SEED (which was an organism of pure evil quickly taking over the entire Gurhal system). Expelling the SEED took more effort than originally thought by the AMF and Gurhal Military and the radical group calling themselves the IIluminus seemed to hinder our progress even further. We later learned that the Social Technical system simply known has "ST" was responsible for withholding valuable information and weapons from their own Guardians in an attempt to profit off the war's already bloated budget. At some point we all knew that our time on Gurhal wasn't going to last forever, It was during this time that we kept a sharp focus on our skills and training. Justyn's ability to quickly learn techs especially impressed Storm Shadow’s uncle, the Hard Master. Over time, Justyn and Storm Shadow became sword brothers, and unintentional rivals for the attention and favor of the Hard Master, who liked pitting them against one another to test their considerable skills. Though Justyn often attempted to throw matches in order that his friend should save face in front of his family, the Hard Master was aware of Justyn's ruse, and knew him to be the true victor. During one of Justyn training sessions the Hard Master expressed his desire for Justyn to take over leadership of the Arashikage ninja clan instead of his nephew, Storm Shadow. Justyn refused, and the Hard Master continued with the lesson. It was at this point that Hazard Zypher (exiled member of the COBRA unit) mistakenly killed the Hard Master instead of Justyn. Zypher used an arrow he stole from Storm Shadow, implicating him in the murder of his uncle. Storm Shadow chased Zypher, who was able to escape in a star pod piloted by Zeta. With Storm Shadow believed responsible for the death of the Hard Master, the Arashikage ninja clan dissolved and Justyn returned to Ragol, where he took up residence on the Pioneer 2.
Some of the Arashikage clan still survives today. From the Neudaiz Arashikage Clan; Justyn Darkcrest "Shadow Strike", Artemisa "Jinx", "Black Dragon" Nadra, R.S.-IJX "T'Gin-Zu", Astro "Banazi", Sturm "Dojo", Brind' "Firefly" Amour, "Bushido" Alpal, Ahno "Tiger Claw", "Night Creeper" Marron, Cedicus "Razor Claw", "Kamkura", and other students of the Hard Master, Soft Master and Blind Master. Some former members of the Arashikage Clan have recently opened a martial arts school on Ragol. Undoubtedly, some of their students will choose to follow the path of the ninjas, and the Arashikage clan may one day rise again.
