PPL who play FFXI online mite know the answer to this; what do you need to bring a PS2 online? I've been looking arround and My Laptop probably isn't the right way to go with this game... Unless 1.6 Ghz and 512MB RAM can handle it (1GB RAM hopefully soon). (PS, to those who are getting the game on their PC, what ARE your specs for you PC?

Anyway, if I take the PS2 'path', what do I need Hardware wise? and is there a set price for using the PS2 online like XBOX?

Since its not gonna use the HDD all you'll need is a modem adapter unless u got the slim which comes with that

you need broadband, not dialup as i understand.

    A usb keyboard.

Unless Sonic Team opts for headset support instead, then you'll probably need a headset as well.

This is the route I am taking, considering I have a Mac. I just hope this game works better then the other online PS2 titles I have tried. RE:Outbreak is the only one that I have found that works well at all....

There was a topic awhile back on pc specs for those going that route so I'll just copy and paste my specs here

    (2) Nvidia 7800 GTX's (BFG) 256MB each for a total of 512MB of video RAM (OCed of course)

Monster Hunter was a decent one..once you got past the area load times..ok maybe not..
But, as for Keyboards, I'm recommending the Sharkboard because I believe the Powerboard has discontinued and the Logitech keyboards are uncomfortably small.
