I dont think its the patches.
I get this Phantom Update all the time and its not even an update. I missclicked it today and now my game wont boot up properly because after I get into the log in screen,it says my client doesnt match.
My game worked fine before pressing this stupid button.
Edit: After a few crashes trying to update,Old method worked and fixed things up.

Are the English, Story, and Large file patches compatible with this new update? Mine still says for November 24 so I still haven't installed back in.
Yes, this update was just a minor .exe update that did not require an update of the patches.Originally Posted by IchijinKali
The latest version of the base patch is December 06, and Large Files is November 25 (manual patch)/October 7 (Tweaker version).

I "updated" the Tweaker.
Aka I just zipped the old one and installed the new one (just in case).
It loaded up fine and then I just started to BROWSE whatever the options were available. Didn't plan on changing anythng.
Don't mind me on saying "I don't like it" because usually I don't like new things that I've already grown programmed to use the old version for so long... BUT...
While just browsing I've started to get a ton of errors showing up (I didn't do it on this computer as I usually do my weaker computer 1st for these types of things), but I got no screenshots at the moment.
I didn't know what to do, so... I just decided not to touch anything else and just open PSO2 for my daily logins.

I unzipped the old one and just logged into PSO2 for my daily logins.
I'm not sure what happened but... I'll stick to the older tweaker until I'm told whatever is going on with the new one is stable.

Got this whenever I try launch with PSO2 using the new tweaker:
*Yes I run the tweaker as admin
*There is no ddraw.dll at that location

Looks familiar so that might've been the same I got as well.
I've already asked this in the quick questions forum but I thought this might be the right place instead. So today the old tweaker stopped working, it just doesn't start up anymore, I had to download the newest 4.0 version, however the game now crashes straight away after launching with this newest tweaker, it also forces me to reldownload the english files, saying that I don't have the newest version(althought I do) every time I start the launcher...Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
Nvm, the problem was fixed by using troubleshooting -> fix gameguard issues then fix .exe issues, for some strange reason they now work fine
I tried updating the new tweaker on my Win 10 and everytime it downloads the updates it keep saying that Tweaker is already running and wonder if to close it.
If I say yes, it reopened Tweaker and say to update again.
If I say no, it does nothing.
It updated just fine on my Windows 8. How to solve this?
EDIT: I found the problem. If you didn't install any of the english patches, the pop up asks if you want to install them behind the huge update window. Even though everything closes for it to update, it seems those patch windows are what causes it to stay running.
Telling all the patches no and then hitting update fixed it.
