sure they were totally pointless and nobody would say "meet me here at 920 beats," but they still made me feel special.

I think beat system on PSO is a failed experiment for global timing. It lingered to BB's days, but many never really used it.

Actually i think the problem about beat was, that it was something swatch tried to only have at swatches.

And so there was again a single manufacture standard, which are dared to fail from the beginning.

So if Swatch would have made it a open standard it had would be a good thing.
