My main PC is running a Radeon 9200 graphics card with 128Mb RAM and in an AGP 8X slot, and I'm thinking about upgrading it even though PSU plays fine most of the time. The point is, I kinda guess that any Radeon 9xxx card greater than 9200 is better, but what about from there on? And what could I be looking for on a budget?

GeForce 6 series or higher, would be better than a Radeon 9000-series. If you're one of those freaks who likes to stay with ATI, though, go for the Radeon x000 series (x600, x800, etc.). It's a step up.

If you're on a budget, I'd recommend looking at PriceWatch for the index of lowest prices for various computer parts across the internet. Currently, they're listing GeForce 6 series cards between $38 and $155.

It depends on what your budget is. For a sub-$100 budget you're rather limited to X800s or older although you might find some equally old 6600 series cards. If you have a sub-$150 budget your choices start to get quite a bit better with the ability to choose a 7600GT which is a very nice card, and the 7600GS which is good, but for just a little bit more you can purchase a 7600GT that has DDR3 memory and a better graphics processor. If you happen to have around $200 you can purchase one of the new X1950 Pro cards in AGP format which are more powerful than any other AGP graphics card. There is another card that has approximately the same power as the X1950 Pro which can be found in the UK and Europe only and that is the 7800 GS+ by Gainward. It's actually a 7900GT which is a very powerful graphics processor for AGP but it tends to be rather expensive from what I understand.
