Has anyone figured out a way to pull the 3d models from the game into a viewer and/or a 3d program?

Oh, I can't wait until we can do this. I used to play with a model viewer all the time for FFXI. Hopefully, we'll see .dat editing too.

There's a piece of Japanese software that can manipulate them (the origins of the Partner Machine pron that was floating around at PSU's release), but bugger if I know how to get the damned models. XD

Etchi is a term for something perverted (as well as the letter "h"). Isn't that exactly what pr0n is?

I loved the ffxi model viewer. I remember all the crazy videos people made with that.

Not to be a party-pooper, but I think model-viewers are a no-no subject here. Main motivation is that the technology to make such a viewer is the same as hacking stuff for other purposes. We can discuss, but not ask for or provide.

I'd like a PSO model viewer, I think if you play PSU online, you already have a pretty good model viewer...

Looking at files installed to in your own computer is not hacking, a viewer which is made of independent code to view such files also requires no hacking. Ask any one who uses the FFXI model viewer, not to mention 3d model file types are common in just about every game that uses 3d models. So it is also possible adapt modeling software to see such models too. So when someone says that model viewers are hacking, they are full of it.
