Well, I plan on making a Ranger and using Shotguns, I don't really like Rifles because thier PP runs out way to fast and shotguns well, They usually don't run out on me...

Just wondering if this would be good or not and I know when you PA lvl+ you get another bullet.

But, more bullets mean you can miss more, so this is a drawback...

Yuor opinion?

shotguns
cons-shotguns arent that good at low levels, you cant hurt very good.
pros-can hit multiple enemies, stronger as you get stronger.

rifles
cons-runs out of pp quick at low levels, starts getting good at around rank B rifles.
pros-gets lots of pp as it gets higher ranked,high damage, and if it runs out to fast for you, you could buy a yohmei one, iwth lower power. LONG RANGE IS A MUST HAVE, making rifles great.

as you can see, i say lean a little more towad rifles, but shotguns work ok too.

I had a big post about why shots rock, but I'll keep it at this; They're underrated.

Rifles are a must as a RA, though. Use both.

Did you just say that getting another bullet with no penalty is a drawback?

Erm, rifles are the staple ranger weapon, while shotguns are great for pure damage (especially at high PA levels). Use them both as the situation permits.

Well, I plan on using Rifles for flying things seeing that Shottys dont have an aiming thing...

Only use shotguns at pointblank so that all the bullets hit. Other then that they rock.

I also like them that all your bullets have a chance to Effect whatever enemy your aiming at

Now, maybe I missed it because of all of the pretty pictures that have come out as of recent, but did anyone that beta'd the expansion confirm that the shot got another bullet when it hits lvl 31? Or how about card for that matter? I've been thinking about playing shot again, and that may seal the deal.

Rifle is the only weapon a Fortegunner can use which inflicts Lv4 SEs, so you cannot do without.
Shotgun is the second most useful weapon type for a Fortegunner; it can deal massive damage at point blank, and also inflict SEs to a large group of smal to medium monsters when used from afar (which is extremely useful if your SE is shock).
