hey. hi, during the updating of the hacker shield, my antivirus found a virus during the updates...its a HEURcrypted...so i want to know if im the only one who got that ??

im talking about Gameguard...when i try to play ..the update of gameguard begin then after my antivirus show me a virus detected..and its a HEURcrypted....

Some anti-virus programs will wrongly detect certain things as a virus or trojan. Being that GG is essentially a root kit, it's not too suprising that it will be detected as such.

If it's a virus, you can try this : http://www.hijackthis.de/#anl

1. Install the program into your computer.
2. Run a system scan with a save log.
3. Upload the scanned log onto the website.

Now if you see any "X" then it's a malware/virus.

Hijackthis has been updated regularly by users so it shouldnt ever be wrong ;D.

since i Had the same "virus" that you had...I sent the file to Avira have them analyze it. and I assume that the file that was infected was the npsc.des file in the Gameguard folder. this was teh result:
