Hello everyone, I'm new to the boards, although I have been trolling them since way back in the PSO days. I had a quick question about my new level 100 PM.

I am a Cast/Fortegunner and wanted to raise its Rng stat to 100 and leave everything else at 0. The problem is, when I first started playing, I got Striking up to 1 just by feeding it a few things to test out what happens. So at lv100 my PM has Stk. 1 and Rng. 99.

My question is, did I screw myself out of a cooler evolution form, or even out of being able to make certain Ranged weapons better than I would be able to with a lv100 Rng stat?

Thanks in advance for all the help, I'm sure I'll be posting again soon! By the way I play on X360 and my character name is the same as my nick. See ya!

Welcome.
A pure PM has a slightly better chance to synth than non-pure, but it can fail just like any other PM. Again, the synth trend in the description is pretty useless at the moment.

No, you'd have a GH-430 either way. The 1 Striking skill doesn't matter at all.

And just for the record, "trolling" a forum is where you intentionally try and start fights in your posts. You've been browsing, not trolling.

The evolution would of been exactly the same, the difference on synth rates between 99 and 100 is minimal if anything at all.

I remember when I made my pure strike PM once I got up to about L90 in order to increase synth success rates by 1% I needed to go up more than one level.

If I remember correctly it was something like 3 or 4 levels for a 1% increase so that 1 extra level isn't going to do much unless you get an extra boost for it being pure?

If it's 54% for 8*s 60% for 7*s and 49% for 9*s your fine.

Well for starters, I think the word would be "lurking", not trolling.

And about your PM, you need much more than 1 in a given area to affect evolution. And don't worry about synthing, that single missing point won't affect success rate by more than like half a percent.

I like the sound of "browsing" better. Lurking just sounds.... evil. You're not evil... are you? D:

The difference between 99 and 100 is virtually unmeasurable so it's all right. And trolling a board is just not an American phrase. I've heard it used in this context plenty times..
