I will be crushed if they are.
I understand the kitties being gender based, cause they are a weak, just for fun weapon. but the bearclaws are an 11*, very powerful set of claws, it would be downright stupid to make them gender based. |

Those claws look the same, from what I've seen the pic I've seen in another thread.
"Kitty Claw" (probably actually the real "Bear Claw") and is brown is male FF only, and "Bear Claw" (probably the actual "Kitty Claw") is black-ish grey and (requires Meow Mustache's to synth) and is female only. The black-grey "Bear Claw" seems to actually be the Kitty Claw, and the brown "Kitty Claw" is the actual Bear Claw... Sega seems to once again have gotten the translated names switched *again.* I see nothing to disprove such a hypothesis... Silly translators.
