Did anyone else catch it on CNN last night? I thought it was pretty interesting, the questions and the response and just the overall format. There was some skirting around the question but for the most part I think the canidates answered what was asked. I admit as a black american I was rooting for Barack Obama but John Edwards and Hillary Clinton were looking good as well.

Who do you think did the best and what do you think of the debates and the Democratic canidates overall?

I didn't see the whole thing, but it has been recorded.

I'm still Obama all the way, but Clinton didn't do too poorly.

I did think it was funny when Edwards claimed that people not voting for Obama because he's black, and Hillary because she's a woman are not the people he wants voting for him. Well, buddy, those were the votes you were getting.

I'm 100% Republican. I dont gie a shit that people think that Bush sucks.
But even though im Republican, i sure as hell would like to see Barak Win.
Too bad no voting for me yet...

I'm pretty sure you can catch it somtime on CNN during the week or someplace on the internets.
If not the full thing then maybe some clips of it.

I think they need to quit the premature campaigning. I am already sick of it, even though I don't actively pursue news of the candidates or the (far from) upcoming election. I'd like to see all the candidates currently holding elective office to focus on doing their jobs and spending time with family and friends, and I'd like to see the media giving the campaign/candidate coverage a break.

I watched it for about 10 minutes and then promptly turned it off. Pointless canned answers from some pointless talking heads. The problem being that I fail to really see any distinction between the candidates. Of course they may have different positions on the issues, but will they stick to those views in practice once in the White House? I doubt it. They're doing what they always do - kiss the ass the the voter and tell them what they want to hear, tell them whatever they want in order to get into office.

Republicans and Democrats are just two sides of the same coin, and the childish partisan bickering only serves to cripple the congress. Not that I don't believe we should have opposition of views in government - we should, and it should be encouraged. But the pettyness and partisanship has to stop. We need representatives who stand up for their personal beliefs, and the beliefs of the people who voted them into office - not puppets who cow over to the will of the party in some faux "Us vs. Them" drama.

If there is anyone I support at this point, it'd probably be Ron Paul - but strictly in regards to the democrats, it'd probably be Obama. Honestly, the race is really only between Obama and Hillary. I don't think anyone else has the clout or the money to realistically be a Democratic candidate. And Hillary just comes across as a shill, and a nasty little shrew of a woman who would just as soon slit your throat as to look at you. I don't trust her.
