So. Damn. Slow.
I've been watching the new series since it came out, and it's reached or even surpassed a DBZ level of slowness. One episode took the span of two minutes. Almost nothing's happening each episode. Considering they just did nearly a hundred episodes of filler, I want to see the quality that drew me to the show, and to compinsate for the wait. Enough of these stare-offs and flashbacks, I want action.

Luckily, this latest episode didn't disappoint. An Akitsu member (I don't speak otaku, so I don't know how that's spelled) using one of his ultimate attacks vs a village elder using a forbidden technique, with a giant amazing action scene being the result. I'm still waiting for the story to pick up, but this should satisfy my action wants for a while.

Eh, idc much for fillers. A shows a show.
I won't go as far as Ephek and say that Naruto sucks. its about Ninjas, so its automatic win.
I'll admit at first i didnt like naruto, because of how annoying he was, but now i like it now that its actiony.

Naruto Manga > Naruto Anime. The Manga is absurdly far ahead of the anime. No fillers either, 'cause it's the source material.

I concur whole-heartedly. The last several episodes have definitely been unbearably slow.

And someone please tell me why the writers feel it so necessary to add 29-minute long flashbacks in the middle of every action sequence?

I've only watched Naruto a few times, and it's ridiculous how much useless content goes into each episode. Like Sekani said...drawn out flashbacks, frequent soul searching while flying slo-mo through the air...I take quality over quantity.

I like the show, but I only watch the english episodes, so I've only seen up to where Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto are escorting that guy through the race for control of that village.

If you like action so much go watch an action flick. The reason most people don't like it is because they think it's all about action when it's not it's comedy-drama-action with action being the last on the list and is mainly used as filler and a way to resolve problems and most of the time the action is comical or dramatic and not just action...

So people go in thinking action and they don't get much of it...and that leads to what you are saying...

I would suggest something to go watch something, but I can't think of any anime that's pure action that doesn't suck in my book.

I know what you mean Zorafim I like Naruto but in Shippuuden where you have Naruto and Kakashi trying to fight Deidara its just basically jumping and running and other meaningless actions which takes up the entire episode up.

That's the problem, there is nothing else. The last two months have been a single fight, where nothing has happened. Fighting is the only content there, and we aren't even getting that. If it were a giant love scene, then I'd be complaining that there isn't enough sex.

The american episodes are already into the fillers? That was much faster than I had expected. But, why are they wasting money buying fillers?
