Balthasar loaned me his Giga/Bullet PP Save to use while I work with Killer Shot, but I've been wondering if it would have any beneficial effects when using SMGs.

I don't quite understand what the unit does; does it only reduce the amount of PP drained per shot? Machineguns rapidly drain PP at a rate of one point per whatever, rather than use it in chunks like other guns. That'd mean it wouldn't have any effect, would it?

On the other hand, would the unit slow down the rate at which an SMG consumes PP?

Yes, it would reduce the rate at which your Machinegun uses PP. Basically, your Machineguns will last 25% longer with the Save equipped. 25% of what I spent on charges leveling my KS is about 75-90K though, haha.

Fortegunners run through a mech more slowly than Guntechers or Fighgunners... right? Regardless of what it LOOKS like they do, mechguns have a listed per-bullet PP cost.

I'd say rate, considering that's how the PP usage is measured when you look at your Photon Art status.

Even though mechs have a weird drain effect while holding the button down, that drain rate is always proportional to the firing rate times the cost and the bullet only actually does damage when it drains whatever the cost is. (It drains like 1/3 of the cost and fires around 3 bullets before you actually see damage.) No idea why ST decided to make mechs weird like that.

Don't mechs simply drain the amount of PP listed per second while holding the button down? Never really bothered to figure out how those PAs work Outside of the latency issue -_-

Nah. It's more like 3 to 4 times the amount of PP listed per second because you get 3 to 4 shots of actual damage each second. You see the same thing with the Dam- series and Megiverse, but those actually do 1 attack per second.

Whew! Glad to know the unit still works with SMGs!

Having more playtime with my guns is always a welcome thing.

Yeah, their firing animation is really odd. It looks (PP drain wise) and sounds as if you should be seeing a spray of bullets at an even pace, but instead it's a burst of three bullets every fraction of a second or so ...

If they do graphical fixes for AoI that's one thing I'd like to see changed, but I doubt they'd fix it.

Ah, so it consumes it for each hit but they decided to just continually drain it at a rate that matches that. As a result you get the latency bug to where you'll drain more PP than what actually shows up on the client side.
