thanks for taking the time to read this

Just had a few questions on techs and such so i'll ask them and mabe you can help me out.

1) whats an good way to make some money at lvl 1. I've looked at the shops and it seems that most things are sold for alot of money. Clothes prices scare me. I ran one of the levels on level 4 and made it out with a couple hundred meseta... just wondering if theres an easier way. Not looking for the magic piggy bank or some source of money to drop in my lap.

2) I'm a newman force and was wondering what techs I should be grabbing early on. Please take into account I have about 300 meseta atm

3) Any tips on grouping as a force minus the usual buff, heal and burn matto? Played on PSO for years but looking to sink my teeth into this now.

thanks for the help!

1) Couple hundred meseta? You must be kidding... The online purchases of weapons and armors are usually in the million count. All you need is a saber and do about 300 free missions either solo or with a team/random group, then save as much meseta as possible. Its all about saving millions, not hundreds.

2) Newman Force? Grab Foie, Barta, Resta, Reverser, and Giresta for now. You will need a lot more than that later.

3) Train until you reach the hybrid or forte classes. Newman Force would make a fine Fortetecher.

Do as many cup missions as you can right now (Colony, 3rd floor in the club), it only lasts until Thursday night. You'll get 2 and a half times the experience as other missions and they're really good for mission points and money as well. They're pretty much the best for everything right now so take advantage of them while they're here.

EDIT:

That one might be a bit difficult for him...

hmm been reading around and just wondering if I should roll human. Am I going to be really that gimped at melee as a newman? I know I may get hit harder and my atp won't be all that great but is it doable if i switch to a melee job? The main reason I picked newman over human is that I was worried about these "race specific" weapons. I grew fond of force weapons in PSO and would die a little inside if my character couldn't end up using weapons like the caduceus when and if they are eventualy released.

sorry for running over the dead horse again with this if it is

Personally, I find the racial stat difference between the races to be relatively negligible.. except perhaps for TP.. Newman's get a ridiculous surplus of TP over the other races.. Other than that though, while it might take longer for you to earn certain stats and equip certain weapons, shouldn't make "that" big of a difference what race you play.

My motto is to go with what's fun though, not with what's "best." After all, we can't all be the best at everything, but we can all have fun.
