This is for all you Street Fighter heads there. Who out there thinks that Sakura could defeat Ryu? I mean if you can look past her goofiness she is a really impressive fighter. How many other street fighters can pull of a Hadouken with little to no training.

With raw talent she can pull of many of the signature moves of Ken and Ryu's fighting style sure they are unrefined but the fact that she can pull them off is amazing. I think that given proper training she could defeat Ken and give Ryu a run for his money. Now i'm not talking about Evil Ryu (which is basicly Ryu under the control of the Dark Hadou and damn near undefeatable) I'm talking about post Alpha/Zero Ryu (since Alpha/Zero was a prequel)

I for one would love to see a new Street Fighter game with a more mature Sakura as the flagship character, but since Capcom no longer gives a shit about Street Fighter it will never happen.

Heh, forgot all about Dan, he is the only guy I know of that can knock you six days to sunday with a mere taunt. I really don't think too many other male fighters could pull off wearing pink, and not looking like a wuss.

Skill or downright insanity, though I have dumbfounded a few people with the way I play Ryu which many consider to be a scrub character. The really can't understand how I can go through an entire match and not sit in a corner throw hadoukens all day, and toss out a shoryuken when they get close. Most of my game revolves around the rushdown and forcing people to make mistakes.

in EX, people make the most dumbest mistaek and do a forward jump towards a downed ryu/ken/kairi/akuma/allen/skullomania/d.dark because of their shoryu-ken (or similar to) move.
the hadoken pwnage doesnt work with EX

Storyline-wise

Can Sakura beat Ryu?
No. Sakura won't go full-out on Ryu, and neither will Ryu. o_O Plus, what with the teacher-student thing too. In the Alpha storyline, we'll assume that Ryu has the 'Evil Intent' thing, since it's featured in practically all official manga, as well as Evil Ryu actually appearing, so, again, no.

Can Dan beat Ryu?
Do we even need to answer this question? XD Dan has the potential to train at Ryu's level, but, his pride and anger got in the way, so, he'll always be inferior to Ryu and Ken. o_O

Can Ken beat Ryu?
Alpha-storyline, he's done it before. But Ryu had the Evil Intent thing to worry about, which distracted him. So, they gotta fight for real. It would be a close call though. o_O It's interesting to note in that manga that when they do meet up again Alpha-storyline-wise, Ken beats Ryu because Ryu is still trying to master the Dragon punch without hesitating (last time he used it, he nearly killed Sagat). During the re-fight, Ken teaches Ryu during the heat of the fight. o_O

Can Ryu beat Akuma?



Um... Ryu learns the hard way that Akuma's level 3 finisher can't be blocked. o_O

I don't know why, but this thread is really amusing to me. XD Especially after that picture!!

I don't know about Dan, but Sakura definitely has potential. She kinda needs to calm down a bit if she wants to be more effective, though. She's my favorite character to play, actually, 'cause she just goes berzerk. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!
