My current problem with PSU is the random droppage and lag I am getting with this game. Sometimes Ill be running a mission and just get dropped and lag out all of a sudden while playing. My set-up is a Linksys Wireless N router. and Im using the Xbox Wireless Network adaptor and WPA-Security. I was wonding if there is anything I can do to possibly fix my problem. Any help would be helped thanks ^_^

I'm having this exact same problem on PC, and I didn't really get any answers and my thread, and now sometimes I am getting the old BSOD even before the game loads my character data. Any help would really be appreciated.

And this is why nobody likes posting their questions in the tech support forum...

Heh. I get randomly DC'd in Halo 3 (I don't play PSO/PSU online), but it's because of my ISP (campus, we're supposed to have 100 Mbps connections, but with IT screwing up all the time, combined with a wide band of "peak hours" being on a nerd campus, Windows typically lists it somewhere around 56-120 k).

When do you usually experience this problem? If it's peak internet use hours for people in your area, then I'm afraid your problem can't be helped.

Yeah, my stepdad seems to think that's the problem, although now it won't even get past loading my character data. It's just that it's been "peak hours" every hour of every day for the last week haha. So perhaps the ISP is having some issues with hardware.

Sorry for not replying sooner but I was sick, if I was you I would read up on DD-WRT the WRT300N had some disconnect issues and every now and then didn't pass the DNS re directs.

I would check first from Linksys to see if there is a new firmware available for you router here
http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...ypage=download

Make sure you select the right version of your router.

Now if you want the more power user oriented version (and Linux based open source) you can read up on DD-WRT
http://dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/index.php

DD-WRT VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY

Let me know witch road you plan on taking, or if you need help let me know, But be forewarned when flashing your router you can end up with a (how ever much you spent) Brick.

Oh yeah, meant to add that you may have a faulty Radio Transmitter in your router that droops and Comes back up, make sure its not over heating, lastly make sure that the wired connections don't do the same thing.

Neo - Sad to say its just for PSU. Lately Ive just experienced some bad lag hanging out on Servers 1:01-02 But and Ive lagged out during peak hours off peak hours. All the time I can lag out. Firmware I had... = ( Would port fowarding have anything to do with it?

The Japahawaiian, I am gonna assume your in Hawaii, and I will also assume your on Road Runner Cable Internet right? That may be your main problem right there, have you ever played a FPS and looked at your ping times? ( i have 2 personal friends that live over there and they sometimes lag out, at the same time, and they live on opposite sides of the island) Firstly call them up and have them check everything out, then look in to other options for internet.

Now for the chance it isn't your internet access try going in to your dash board and changing your DNS numbers to:
4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2
Then if you tried that and your still having problems try to connect your xbox directly to your modem (should have had you do that first).
Now if you lag out then you know its not you, its your ISP and (the way I see it), and you pay them every month and they should come and fix it.
Tell them that your having high packet loss, High pings over 150MS and they should at least to a truck role, DO NOT TAKE "Oh well your signals look good" because that is them saying "F**K YOU WE GOT YOUR MONEY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

Lastly if you do file sharing you may be caped so there is something for you to keep in mind.

P.S. if you want to try port forwarding then go here.
