for some reason it will say something like memory card has corrupted and i would have to start a new pso


y does that happen?

That's usually a big problem. I'm not sure if 1st party MC's are any better, however...

I don't own a GC but I know from my DC days that 3rd party memory cards are very unstable and cause you to restart data all the time. I've heard this is true for the GC as well so if your using 3rd party cards thats a big part of your problem. One reason I chose Xbox over GC, no memory cards.

I have a Nyko mem card for my GC. It has yet to corrupt on me. So either my card is good, or I am just damn lucky. (It'd suck if I lost Alex)

Try to get the offcial nintendo mem cards. I was told those work. I've been using one for a little and it's been doing good so far.

Yeah, official Nintendo Memory Cards are definitely what you should use. I have used 2 official cards ever since I had my Gamecube (about 5 Years), and I have had no problems with them, never corrupted my PSO file either. 3rd party Cards are not a good thing to be using especially for PSO.

Adding onto my above post about my Nyko card actually doing well, I also have a Madcatz card (yeah, I know. Doom) that actually works... for now. None of my mains are on it, but I do have a bank/shop character on it.
