Last year when JP server had their festa art contest event, I was alway hoped that it would come to US server too. However, it was turned out to be winter event without the outstanding part of that festa event which is the fan-art contest. This year, during the same period that JP is running 2nd year anniversary festa contest. It is the time for our community to shine!! Now, this is not JP only, nor US only, but Global!!

( I also allow photoshop, because I don't think there are many people who can draw)

Due to Error 065 issue, and we can't fix our billing site yet ;_;, Due to many complain about this event crash with MAG and have no time to work, we promise to give you 2 weeks of extension on the event. Please keep quality of your work. And for anybody who haven't started yet, you still have time to reconsider for it

Event Details

Duration : 5 weeks: 29 July to 3 September
Activity : wallpaper contest.
Event theme : your character story.
Picture Size : 1024x768 or bigger,
(wide screen user) : 1280x768 or bigger.
Submit method : post in this thread.

Photoshop or Art-work?
photoshop and fan-art will be judge in different category.
combination work of 2 category will be decided by your character
(if your character is from screen shot, then your work count as photoshop
if your character is drawn by yourself, then your work count as fan-art)
1 user can send up to 4 works.

Judge team
Arika represent judge as the main event host.
Itsuki represent judge as the main event host.
ashley50 represent judge as the Gurhal top model.
Rubyeclipse represent judge as GM.
the score will be see from quality, creativity, overall design, and effort.
No nudity, vulgarity, or insulting another player

Prizes

there are 2 way to get prizes from this event, and it is possible for the same picture to receive more than 1 prizes.

-Real life rewards-
From SEGA a PSU inflatable GH101 and a PSU Wristband will be given to the grand prize winner selected by judges. Also another PSU Wrisband will be given to the second winner which also selected by judges. (Winners can choose between green or yellow wristband)
From Itsuki Drawing pad Bamboo Fun small will be award for the best picture decided by judges(Itsuki) for both Art-work category and Photoshop category. (this section include user from xbox360. Ask Itsuki if you need anymore detail on this, I do not control in this part.)

-In game rewards-
: fews best pictures from each category (by ratio of entries) will be selected by judge to mixing for top 10 to allow public vote by PSOW users(we combine both PC and xbox entry together). In game rewardswill be selected from event pool in the order of public vote ranking (The person who has higher rank vote will be able to pick the prize first)
The prize pool will keep increase when the festa point reach its mile stone in the puzzle section. ( as you might expected, different sponsors in each server, we the in game prize pool will be different for each server)

-Casino reward-
congratulation for everybody who sent their entries.
please PM me your in game ID to me
you all will receive 15 silver coins for participation.
the top person from each category will receive 50 silver coins
(ID in game such as 200XXXXX or 300XXXXX)

PSOW prize: I got permission from Ryna that if some entry look good+suitable and the group of mods think that it can be cut off for making avatar.
Then it will be selected to make as PSOW avatar too

of course, this is also depend on the author agreement.

How to get Festa point?
you can get Festa point which will contribute to the same server pool for everybody by following action:
-give 1 festa point for anybody who PM me a draft of his/her work to resistor that he/she is participating. Draft can be anything that can show me the idea of what are you doing. The purpose is to let me know whether you understand the theme/rule or not, and also opportunity for you to ask specific question.)
From 8 August, you can only send the second draft after you finished your first entry.

-give 1 festa point for anybody who post their finished work in this thread.

-give 2 festa point for anybody who post their finished work within the first week of the event.
(1 work can gain 4 mark if all conditions clear) I will still give 1 festa point if you finish after week one.

notice : individual score(you get this point from quality/effort/idea of your work) =/= festa point (public score, contribute as whole)

Event theme explanation.
we don't want you to send us the whole book of your RP story. we want you to cut only 1 outstanding part/scene of that story into 1 picture. You might have many important part in your story, but we only need you to select one. and don't worry if 1 pic might not enough for us to understand your story, because story is not contribute to the score.
In case of Art-work, you have your power and imagination to draw so many things, I don't see any hard problem here, but I will give some example for photoshop user who can't draw.
I will show some easy example here:
case of my RP, "creating Ultimate newman"
you might putting your character inside the experiment capsule and Dr. Tomrain with many other. are working on genetic engineering on you. (just find laboratory from other game(eg. FFVIIDC, Residental Evil, etc), and replace the person inside the tube with yourself, cut off Dr. tomrain screen to replace some scientist)

Case of people who RP as top idol :
she may use screen shot of the start of FF-X-II, which is the stage show, with many people screaming/waving, and has her character walking on the stage.

Case of people who RP as Sephiroth:
might as well putting a fight with Cloud, kill Arist or/and destroying Shinra co.

Case of Gf-Bf RP:
put both of char into cafe/restaurant with romantic feeling. Since this might be so easy as much as just replacing char, posing or inserting more detail on pic might implement.

Those above are just an easy examples only, I bet each of you should have your different idea in this point. Please also consider "overall look" if they look good or not. If you don't want to draw your character, then you can just use NPCs or other player characters instead. (draw me would me nice xD)

Submitting explanation.
please don't hesitate to post your work here early. Not only that will contribute more to Festa point which also benefit you to unlock prizes, posting early will also reserve your original creativity idea. This mean, if anybody copy part of your work or steal your idea, they will get no score from this section. So, post it first to make sure that nobody can use the same idea as you before you do.

Tutorial are up there on link, and Itsuki is making another tutorial thread for beginner to draw from basic too

I hope people will gain more than just material rewards ,from this event.

I spending only 1 day from a noob without any photoshop ability at all to make my first sig, and then about 3-4 days for the idol project. After that my last work was 1 day of samurai wallpaper. I have learned a lot of things during the time of "no update" that people alway complain about having nothing to do.
A while ago, I just make this event banner before posting this thread.
The hardest and spending most time part of work is to get prizes for this event tho

Edit: got first draft from Pandaling. + 1 festa point.

Around that. I can tell you more specific detail for each individual pic when you send me draft, that is why I prompt people to send draft by giving point lol.
