Yeah, my friend was talking to me online the other day... And I got this link to a website with things about PSO.

Keep in mind, this is a quote from the website, not me, and it says this is for the GC:

"Phantasy Star Online's WMDs.
By reading the title of this cheat, you're probably confused. Let me clarify it. The weapons of mass destructions are weapons that are so powerful that its just ridiculous! You get them from Olga Flow, the final boss of Episode II. Don't think you're in the clear just yet: You need to beat him on Ultimate. If you beat him with anyone but Oran, who has a mere 30% chance of getting it, your chances of receiving it are reduced to around 7%. Kill Olga Flow with Oran, and if you see a special item called 'Parasetic Gene FLOW', use it on any MEGA powerful sword (A regular sword) to transform it into the Dark FLow, with an ATP of +900! For Rangers, I wouldn't leave you in the dark

. You can use it on any shotgun to make the Dark Meteor. Any Force can use it on a rod to give it some dark powers!"

Does that mean, that seeing as I have an Oran, If I kill Olga Flow -Supposedly- 3 or 4 times, I should get the gene?

Is there anyone out there who can verify this or invalidate it for me?

I can't officially validate or deny it, but I seriously doubt that's true. I've read somewhere around here that Parasitic Gene Flow isn't available offline, and if the drop rates were known for it, they would've added it to the database.

Also, if the drop rates were that good, everybody would have them and they wouldn't be so ungodly rare. Last I heard, only one person ever found it legitimately...

It's alright. I've seen the Dark Flow's special Mega Grant thing. Silly Hunters, pretending to be CAL.

Oh well, I never really liked the dark flow to be honest. I don't care for Sword-types. Good Ol' Twin Sabers for me

.... If only I didn't skip Addicting Food on my Redria, I could have Double Canon right now T_T

Well, it isn't possible to find it legitly in any way shape or form. However, you can find it on a certain private server that has "activated" the drop (server drop). The rate is 1/80 for every ID.

A private server provides 1 quest to win the red ring, under certain conditions (wich you will need to ask there) you will receive the ring as a prize.
The olga flow dna is impossible because it is defined by the client (your game), but ******** found something interesting, they could place the item manually (not as a boss drop), with that, the drop rate is the same 1/80 i believe and acts like a boss drop.
They tried to do this on dark falz, but they can't make the item apear at a certain location.

Basicly it's this.
Red ring and olga flow DNA are impossible to obtain offline.
Red ring and olga flow DNA are possible to obtain online, one as a quest prize, another as a set drop.

By sega legit standarts both items are illegit, as a private server standart, it's legit.
Now make you're choice.

And, like I said, I was just wondering. Truthfully, if I had any Olga DNA eroded weapons, I wouldn't use them unless it was the only weapon I had. No combo attack? -_- lame. Besides, a weapon that strong would take the fun away from the game, even if it was legit.

If you get it online you will have a illegit weapon by sega standarts, but legit in the private server standarts.

So now you chose, if you go online, will you get the item?

If I was online, I would totally go for a Dark Bridge. I say it's legit because a) it was actually made by sega b) the only way to get it is through "illegit" means c) it's not guaranteed and you still have to work for it.
That's why I don't mind having my downloaded quests (got from a friend from a private server). They're all quests that anyone can play online, and were made by sega. I just wanted access to them.
Edit: Come to think of it, all the flow weapons suck. No combo = weak sauce. Dark Bridge = Psycho Wand with more penalties.

What's a private server...? Does that mean GC is still online?
