No, I know what they are: in the original series they were the spiritual successor to Myau and the musk cats, made from a mixture of human and biomonster DNA, and associated with claws and support techniques, whereas the PSO/PSU newmans are just space elves. I'd honestly rather female beasts look more like beasts than like newmans, even the newmans of the original series.

I think I see what you were saying in the post before, then. Yes, they were mutually exclusive statements, that I just so happened to tie together. It's just something I noticed. The pail skin, the simple expressions, the animal eyes, it just fits more what I would expect from newmans. At least, compared to the magic girl look I saw in the demo.

But yes, I would actually prefer beasts to be strong and powerful looking (males do this very well, while still having the option of doing the small beast look), while the newmans look more... Strange and Sci-fi looking, I suppose I could say.
I guess something has to appeal to the elf and fairy fans, though.

I love charcreate stuff like that, been waiting for something like this to come up. A few questions though...

Skin tone slider I presume is still present for everyone?
Did it change any for CAST?
What about the proportion system? I also heard that they "did something to it" but that's very vague. Can someone add a video messing with it?
Is there a "No Voice" option like there is in ps0?

It is interesting to see what new things they chose for 'beginner sets' some of the CAST parts are 'ex-expensives' now reduced to being beginner items. Also digging the added facial accessories like scars/makeup/masks etc. they've thrown in--should keep people from being overly generic.

Humans needed an edge, and I think their latest fashion pushed them up a major notch.

The new newman stuff is just silly looking....it's not a scarf, it's a freaking really large turtle neck sweater collar. And the new female Newman? EWWWWWWWWWWW, the default one looks like a special needs child with an over zealous seamstress mother dressing her up.

New beast default girl is really cool, I like the fact they made them kinda hippy... it fits with the race. The new male look only lends itself to looking like a hunter.....the default Beast male doesn't say "Best evasion in the game next to female counterpart" at all....but I like it, but wanting to make a beast force, I'm immediately gonna be stuck with old costume options.

Casts have some GREAT options, FINALLY. Some of the female ones look downright spooky.

I swear they better have an eye-patch accessory! Eye-Patches=Badassery. lol.
On another note, I'm liking the new (F) Cast outfit. Too bad you can't mix and match parts from it.
Hopefully, they add alot more parts and clothing to the game.
