Default Grants and Megid - 03-30-2012, 09:43 PM

When are these spells ever useful?
Grants just seems to be a powerful spell that fails in comparison to all others and Megid looks more awesome than it ever is.

Are these ever worth putting on a pallet?
Do human FO's not even give love to Grants?
Even with the Newearl bonus, does Megid fail to be loved?

(new to spell casting)

there are a few enemies that are really weak to Grants, like Hildelts. If you can get a Merc Rod or Caduceus, Grants is great against them. plus, it has a large range so you can sometimes get them before they know you're there.

Megid is best in EP II where the enemies have lower EDK so are much more likely to being affected by it. My RAmal has an S-Rank needle with Hell and it does REALLY well at insta-killing the vast majority of the enemies. not a fan of Megid, myself, but if Megid can pierce it would come in handy

grants is only useful in cases where other resists are so ridiculously high that grants will kill faster than using their next weakness (hildelts, gran sorcerers)

megid is best used in forest battle against people who don't know any better. hell will usually outperform megid even on a force. take those pds you're stockpiling for megid 30 and put them towards a v502 instead.

brain off fun on ship 4 casual
