One thing I thought was pretty awesome about Disgaea 2 was the title system. Each character has a title that they are aware of and the title changes depending on certain actions you take in the story. Adelle get's the title of "Ranger" if you do the color ranger side quest, and "BadAss Overload" if you beat the very final boss. Playing the game I thought how cool would it be if RL had achievements and titles that you could get from fulfilling certain conditions.

Before going to China I was applying for a visa at the chinese embassy in Japan. And while most of the people there looked completely lost, one guy looked insanely bored, almost like it was mundane. I thought it'd be interesting to talk to him and as luck would have it we finished about the same time and were both headed back to the station. He was a financial analyst for some airline which was why he was always flying from one region to the next for company work. When he asked what I did, I sarcastically replied, "I'm working on my minion license to get an entry level job and hopefully work my way up to midboss.

After going to Fujian China, it dawned on me that I was pretty much of the opposite side of the world from my hometown Washington DC, and that if I had the opportunity to fly back over Europe back to DC that would complete and entire trip around the earth. "World Traveler" would be a pretty cool title to have hovering over my head like in a game.
