I liked them before they released the self-titled record...it was all downhill after that...their live shows as of late haven't been quite as good.

I liked everything before the self titled album, and the self titled album itself. Transistor and everything after just seemed a bit too ambitious. Soundsystem tried to go back to the feeling of the self-titled record but ultimately it failed too, and I'm not even discussing the new one >.> I've helped set up their rigs once n_nV Being an audio bitch pays off sometimes.

I agree that their music has gone down the hill a little after their self-titled album, but I think they still put out great music. It's just a matter of adopting the new styles. I thought Transistor had a very unique sound.

Transistor will grow on you after a while. I think that they tried to tackle too much on it though, and instead of like 14 tracks that all shined, there were 22 not as polished songs that felt unfinished.
