there aren't many Battle modes but the ones you find can be really great.
though it's either
"they are really great and it's hard and fun"

OR

"it's dumb people nag you and everyone is really whinie"

i got nagged for beating up on people, it's battle game i died too, then the start resorting to insults, heh it's a video game grow up childern, if you can't beat me with zonde do something else, use your head.
they had to get a lvl 118 to cool me off with his frozen shooter just because they player "lizardman" couldn't deat with me killing him when ever he charged me. thats pretty sad..
anyone agree?

battle mode now is nothing compared to what it was on the dreamcast. their were people walking around with 1000+ wins. unfortunately i had 650 =/. but yea battle is fun and u mostly see it in antares 8 at night. its better to battle in antares because most of the people in vega just battle in forest. i battle in rule 2 and 3. try it out =)

When I stopped leveling on Dreamcast, all I did was BA. Now I'm starting to BA more again. Hopefully r6 will come out again and revive the mode soon.

Battle is a blast if you and everyone else agree not to use cheap tactics like camping and hiding. I wouldn't suggest ever battling on Vega, though. Sure, your win count will skyrocket, but the players there are so bad that battling them will actually make you worse. If you're on Antares 8, look for players named SOURCE, Kellen or Lord Cronai. They are really good and I'm sure you could learn a lot by battling them. I got to the point where I could beat almost anyone on PSO by losing to those three over and over.

After leveled my 2 chars to 200 on on DC, I went all out on BA, with the exception of Rules 1 and 5, focusing mainly on 2,3 and 6. There were many frequent battlers back on the DC days. Some include BurgerDog, Izlude, SOURCE, Cloak, Heaven's Eve, WWWWWWWWWW, Seiya, Samikaroto, Lede, Kaetwyn, Rika, Misty, Spike, Chaos, Mouse, Prof. Frink, Skankslash, Vermin, Darc Haze, Nitecrawler, Naked Robber, Virus, Dark Vagrant, Richard, Invincible and -=Angel=-. I remember going on 1 on 1 BA 6 marathons against BD and SOURCE. I'll admit getting owned the majority of the time, but I could definitely sense that I was improving. Now that I'm getting close to my 2nd 200 on GC, I just might go back to battling. I must admit that there are quite a few new things I'll have to get used to.

is it because you ask people lower/higher leveled.
just a thought. people never battle me.
cheap tactics? the only thing i would consider cheap is attacking when you port to ragol, the use of one more souly unless it's all you have in that case you should find something else (this is some-what iffie)

i have no problem with people using a frozen shooter on me it's just you get no run time and well it's down right anoying but knowing that they HAVE to use it to beat you, thats good enough for me.
hey why don't we have a battle sometime.

i have a lvl 122 HU
and lvl 92 FO and yes, i do use megid sometime and it's a high lvl but i have other tech. megid is my just last resort, oops i've said too much about my battle style.

i used it once, it was to see how strong it was...not as good as it could be, i need a better one

Rule 1 battles take no skill, just mates and higer levels. Battling on the same level as someone makes things more interesting, unless you're a FO.

A FOnewearl with a Summit Moon, merge, and maxed MST can do a ton of damage. Play a rule like 3 and things change. Although they're still powerful, their low DFP and HP can be exploited with well placed traps.
