What the hell does L337 Mean?? I've seen it everywhere, and I can't find anything out of it, aside from Leet..??

l337 is a stupid way of typing the word Elite or leet, meaning to be superior or greater.

It is also a way to type on online games or forums
Like " r A H4x0r! n j00 a n00b!"

My backup was that everyone else learned if off someone else. So, nobody can say I'm stupid or anything because everybody must have asked someone what it meant, or saw it repeated over and over and over again and eventually caught on to what it meant, and that is exactly what I'm doing here. Unless you looked at a FAQ or something about it, but even then, that FAQ is written by someone, isn't it? So Mwahahahahahaha------*cough*.

I've seen 'l33t' (with an L and a T) and '1337' (with a one (1) and a seven (7)), but not 'l337' (with an L and a 7 for the T). But I'm sure it doesn't matter, it's still silly.

I seriously find people calling themselves leet or 1337 really dumb. But the bad part about it, is I find myself calling people and stuff that all the time. I's a bad person! =(

Then you might get a kick out of this. A rather psychotic hacker friend of mine(we rarely talk any more) was so pissed that 1337(because he was using it before others really started, or so he claims) became so popular, he invented his own language, based on binary. Now, when talks to people online he speaks in 1's and 0's(and I'm guesss ing he'll hit 2 every now and again). Now, if 1337's cool now, this'll be the new fad in 5 years!
