I believe you can. Although I've not been here long enough to know, it'd make sense that you could be..since they can remove any items that're banned online if you have them.

Someone can't ban you just because they have your guild card.
I believe you can be banned if a server operator (or whatever) sees you doing things you shouldn't do (duping, hacking etc.) |

Don't worry, that person is just trying to scare you. They can't do a thing. Only the server admins can ban people.

Have any of you ever looked in the booklet that came with the game? Like 4 pages in it tells you disorderly behavior (hacking, racism and harrassing) will not be tolerated, they say you have one warning and that's it. So yes, you can be banned from PSO, like any other online community or game.
